As part of the course Entwurfsprozesse, I developed a game on the Pico-8 platform under the guidance of Martin Ganteföhr, together with Sky Kronenberg and Theo Golonkas.
The biggest challenge was to create a visually appealing and entertaining concept within the strict limitations of Pico-8.
My main focus was on programming and world-building. Using the reference code provided by Martin as a foundation, I adapted it to meet the specific requirements of our game. This included implementing a larger player sprite and developing a vertically oriented world.
To bring the game world to life, I integrated the assets created by Sky and Theo directly into the code.
